happy meals: not so HAPPY any more.

so i heard from my good friend, the LA times that t0ys have been banned from happy meals in Santa Clara County, California. This is GOODDDD!!!! now there is not an incentive for children and youngsters to want the happy meal anymore just so they can obtain the totally rad toy that lies within. It's not a child's faut that they like toys so much, so why would fast food establishments prey on their little minds and bodies by offering something so irresistably fun with a calorie and fat loaded meal? it is proven that the majority if the time obesity starts with the child. and with fast food places offering toys and fun things that come inside that greese dripping paper bag, it becomes even more appealing to gain weight. parents also go hand in hand with this happy meal appeal. how many of you have been eating a happy meal, or another appealing meal from a fast food place and heard your mom or dad say, "you cant have your toy until you finish your meal" what the heck? why would you want all of our attention to be focused on eating ALL of the fat packed kiddie meal that will only add lbs. to our body and cause health to decrease? i just dont understand what is so wrong with banning they toys from happy meals.

papa johns

so its wednesday and just like a million other people i hurrrrrrrry to lunch so i can cut everyone to get my own slices of warm and yummy papa johns. well it bugs me one that i cannot eat a whole entire pizza without gaining 205 pounds but every boy i know can eat the entire thing and i swear never even look like they gained an ounce... well for all you fellas out there who eat your whole pizza pies now i want you to look back on it in 20 years with your double chins and oversized bellys and realize that papa j's isnt soo "good" now.

fast food is not always bad! i mean yea its bad if your ordering half the menu but thats beside the point. sooo.. there are books and what not like that one over there <--- that can tell you what to get that is healthy at restaurants and fast food places. see this is the smart way for overweight people, who yes i know sometimes have food addcition or whatever, to still get their fast food kick without over indulging or eating their life away. i mean trust me i eat my fair share of fast food and i know that it is addicting but cut down the portions people when you start to notcie that your buttons are popping off your pants! maybe its just me but i think that eating healthier at a fast food place is tough, but certainly manageable. i dont know when and how americans lost all of their self control...but right about now is time to start gaining it back with choosing healthier options rather than fat girl options the next time you roll into taco bell! =)

so yesterday after i school i had work as usual at 4. i decided to make a quick qdoba run before going to work so i wouldnt starve the rest of the night. as i made my way to the door the only thing i could do was laugh because seated right inside the door in the first booth was a morbidly obese woman. (very larrrrggge) i didnt laugh because i thought it was funny. i laughed because i knew that i would be talking about this in my blog =). well anyway back to the story... i walked by the woman as i made my way to the front and i nonchalntly glanced over at her. i felt bad for her one because she was all alone and two because of her weight. but then, i noticed what she was eating. not just one quesadilla, but two. and that just wasnt it. she had chips, queso, and a soup! i had to stop and wonder why in the world would this woman be doing this to herself? it made me wonder how someone could know that they are slowly making themselves sicker and sicker. being overweight is the disease that is slowly but surely taking over our nation and it makes me so mad to know tht it is preventable! that woman could have surely gotten just one quesadilla, but adding the extra one was only adding extra pounds.

why do people who are obviously very overweight continue to eat at fast food places? or when you are out to eat at a restaurant you see someone who is or should be classified as morbidly obese order more than one entree and it is always the most calorie loaded, cholesterol packed, and sugar dripping plate? i just don't understand why a person with a weight problem would continue to dig themselves in an already, what looks to be like an unrecoverable hole. And i am not just talking about people who look like they need to loose a little poundage here and there, i am talking about the people who can barely walk, sit at a table, fit through a door, or drive a car to the amount of weight they have managed to slowly destroy their bodies with by gaining. but by no means do i have a problem with anyone who is overweight. i just do not understand why you would enable your self to grow so gargantuan, and then further the largening process by eating pure crap that is fast food.
